Nick Moran got his first drum set at the age of 2 and began taking lessons at the age of 5. His love of drums and music grew and by the age of 12 he knew music was his passion. At this point he began to chase his dreams of becoming a professional drummer. Throughout his high school years, he started playing in cover bands at the age of 16, around the Buffalo, NY area. Nick is currently studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He has taken lessons with Tony “Thunder” Smith throughout his freshman year and will be entering his sophomore year in the Fall of 2021. Nick works with Ed Gage (LA independent artist) as his studio drummer. He has recorded with Steve Grimmett of Grim Reaper and John Gallagher of Raven. In addition, Nick also writes and records original songs under the stage name Havoc.

Nick’s drum influences are Neil Peart, Steven Adler, Bill Bruford, Phil Collins, Carmine Appice, Mike Mangini, Tommy Lee, Zoltan Chaney, and many more. He likes all genres of music and in particular, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop/Rap. He has studied under Jerry Augustyniak (10,000 Maniacs) Rob Thruman (Thurman Brothers, Captain Beyond) Dr. John Bacon (Lester Bowie, Roswell Rudd, Bobbie Militello) and Tony “Thunder” Smith (Lou Reed, Jan Hammer Group).
