Hi, this Karan Mehta and I am an independent drummer born and brought up in Mumbai, India.
I began drumming at the age of 15. I grew up listening to a lot of Pop as well as heavy music. The reason I started playing the drums was when I saw Joey Jordison Playing and his drumkit rotating in the air.
My drumming is greatly influenced by Joey Jordison, Gavin Harrison, Chris Adler Danny Carey and Mike Jhonston.
I started my drumming career in a metal band called Seth and played many underground gigs for a couple of years
I have also been a part of Hindi Progressive rock and Bollywood bands too.
I currently play for a Post Rock/Instrumental band called Across Seconds.
