Walter “Chuki” Sotomayor

Walter’s (known as “chuki”) first contact with a drum set was at his parents anniversary party, when the orchestra director invited him to play with the band asking if he knew how to play the drums…his answer was “yes of course”, but not really, He had never played drums before.

A couple of years later he acquired his first drumset and started to rehearse some covers with a group of friends, but nothing serious as of yet.

In 2001 in a rock concert he saw an ad calling for a punk rock drummer. He applied and that’s how he meet his actual band TERREVIENTO, with whom he has released 1 demo, 2 studio albums and 2 tribute albums and are currently one of the most important bands of the Peruvian rock scene. The band is currently working to release their third album in march 2012.
