Travis Blair
Travis Jamal Blair is a Brooklyn, New York native, who has been playing drums since the age of nine. Travis is self-taught but received help improving and developing his gift from his cousins’ Jonathan, Marcus, and Harold Frasier Jr.
Travis had the privilege playing for several churches in the NYC area: Greater Mount Carmel Deliverance Ministries, New Life Church of God, Willis Avenue SDA, Agape Sabbath Day, and Evangelism Family Life Ministries (EFLM). Travis also played for the group Free 2 Worship (F2W), and on the live recording for Prophetess Andrea Thompson of Andrea Thompson Ministries’ Altitude the EP. Travis has also played with Caribbean Gospel artist Minister Meekie Melody, and for Pastor Dr. Natalie Evans (former member of Caribbean Gospel Group the Grace Thrillers); also served as her band leader. Currently, Travis serves as the drummer for Purpose Place LA church in Northridge, California.
Travis credits God for his gift and the many opportunities he had playing with other gifted musicians and for amazing Pastors.
Genres played are Gospel, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, Fusion, Reggae, Calypso, and Christian Contemporary.
