Thiago De Castro is a Brazilian touring and session drummer, as well as a background singer,
currently based on the Gold Coast, Australia. His rhythmic journey began at the age of 15,
driven by a passion for the primal pulse of Rock and Roll. Over the years, Thiago has
expanded his musical repertoire, drawing influences from jazz, metal, black music, fusion,
Brazilian popular music, reggae, and instrumental progressive compositions.
While living in Brazil, Thiago drummed for notable bands such as Massa Sonora and Minus
Blindness. In 2012, he embarked on a European tour, performing 17 shows in just 21 days
across France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Throughout his illustrious career, he has
contributed to 7 albums worldwide and shared the stage with renowned acts including
Angra, Charlie Brown Jr, Raimundos, O Rappa, Natiruts, Marcelo D2, Dead Fish, Rael, Nando
Reis, Groundation, Katchafire, Flesh God Apocalypse, and Sepultura.
Now living in Australia, Thiago is gearing up for a tour with the Ozzy rock band Goatzilla, as
they release their second album, and is also playing with the metalcore band Engraved.
Thiago's passion for music remains undiminished as he prepares to enter the studio later
this year to craft more original tracks. For him, music holds a nutritional value, music is the
language of the soul.
