Terrence C. Charles Jr.
Terrence C. Charles Jr. or “Chops” as some people call him, has been an aspiring drummer since he knew how to control his limbs. At the age of three he started to take household items and construct them in the form of a drum kit. Ever since then, he could not leave the drums alone. Without any formal training, Terrence has taught himself the art of drumming by listening and watching other drummers such as Teddy Campbell, Dave Weckl, Gerald Heyward, and Marvin Mcquitty who have been an influence in his style of play.
At seven years old Terrence started to play drums in his church on a weekly basis during Sunday morning service and has been playing there ever since. His father, Terrence Sr., began to further feed his musical interest by playing different genres of music around the house and in the car. He has been the largest influence in his life and has given him tools and instruction to carry himself in a professional manner.
Now at 20 Terrence has a bright future ahead of him. He is a college student, studying Business at Five Towns College, and he training with well know Long Island drummer and teacher Chris Tibaldi.
In his brief career Terrence has managed to play with many local acts in and around New York City, as well as out of the country
