Shawn Jordan

Shawn Jordan was born on May 20th 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After many years of ruining his Mother's pots and pans, his parents bought him his first drum kit when he was 13 years old. He taught himself to play drums by listening and playing along to his favorite music, and was encouraged by his parents to practice at any time during the day or night. Often, his father would be napping on the couch and would wake up only when he stopped playing. Heavily influenced by the likes of Mick Fleetwood, Bill Ward and Vinnie Paul, Shawn developed a hard hitting, aggressive style of play but also found a fondness for groove and soulful beats. The drums would stay a hobby for Shawn until 2000 when he moved to Los Angeles to attend a recording engineering school in North Hollywood, California. There he met Lance Kates and the two would later become the founding members of the South Bay metal band Pariaus. With Shawn behind the kit, Pariaus made their debut performance in June 2006 at the legendary Viper Room in Hollywood CA., and have since become a pivotal part of the South Bay metal scene. Pariaus signed with indie label Corporate Records in early 2007, and released their debut CD "Damnata Memoria" in March 2008. Known for his technical ability and precise timing, Shawn believes that the most important thing about drumming is having fun and not being afraid to experiment.

“I am very honored and excited to be part of the Soultone family. The craftsmanship of these cymbals and the tones they produce are truly amazing and they fit perfectly into any drumming situation that I find myself in. I’m blown away by the look and sound of my Extreme Series crashes and you can bet that Soultone will be my exclusive weapon of choice for many years to come.”
