A native of Torreon Mexico, Sergio began with music at an early age
of 9, he began his passion for keyboards, as his grandfather was a
great pianist, and his father is currently a guitarist, so It was almost
inevitable for him to follow these steps because he was always
surrounded by music; Not long after, Sergio discovered that he had a
talent for rhythm.
He then formed his first band in High School, which made him realize
that the stage would be the place where he Would spent the rest of
his life.

His learning at first was largely self-taught, and learned techniques
from different books, videos, and drummers he admired; His influences
range from:
Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, Vinnie Collaiuta, Dave Weckl, Lars Ulrich,
Nick Menza, Mike Portnoy, Tommy Lee, John Bonham, Mikkey Dee,
Charly Benante, Steve Smith, Dave Lombardo, Mike Mangini, Simon
Phillips, amongst others.

He achieved technical perfection with teachers from local schools and
attending seminars of great drummers like Waldo Madera, Dave Weckl,
Kenny Aronoff, etc ...

Since 1989, he joined several rock bands and went to different parts of
the country bringing his original music, from among these groups, of
which the most important to him were:
"CONTRASEÑA" (1993-1995) VERTIGO (1996-1997) NECSUZ
(1997-1998)
Each band with an LP album, and combining three generes: rock, hard
rock, and progressive rock.

In 2007, Sergio became part of the most ambitious project of all,
"GANGSTERS". Actually , the band name "Gangsters" has changed to
"VALIANT"
"VALIANT" was formed with the lead singer of "DALI" Carlos Sherek, and
now with the amazing guitarist Pepe Medina.
Their album have crossed borders in South America (Colombia, Guatemala,
Panama, Uruguay, Costa Rica and of course México).
Their main singles consist of "Para Seguir Sin Ti", "No Vuelvas" and the
promotional tracks "Dime" and "Fundidos En La Misma Piel".
his single called:"Yo Soy Guerrero" is now the official theme of Santos
Laguna, a great First Division Soccer Team of his natal city Torreon.
and Champions 2012 National Soccer League.

In 2013 Valiant recording his 2cond EP album "Volumen 1" Produced by
Tonio Ruiz (CODA Guitars, & QBO Guitar and Voice) and mastered by
Randy Merril of Masterdisk New York.
