Romie James Burford born March 16, 1974 in Ypsilanti Michigan. Started playing drums in the 6th grade when I was 11. I attended Willow Run Schools where I was on the snare line. Started playing full set when I was in 8th grade... My parents got me a set of Ludwigs and away I went. Having learned all the fundamentals in marching band, It made the jump to full set much easier .I spent all my high school years playing in bands with some very skilled musicians .... My passion for drums kept me playing right through school. I always had the support of my family and friends. Some of my past bands include, Exstacy, Mental Anguish, Lethal Action, Plot 131, Groove Industry, Another Broken Hero... Currently I am in the rock band Ignoring The Echoes. We are based out of Flat Rock Michigan. Our newest single “Break These Ties“ was debuted in mid January..... Ignoring The Echoes is starting to make a impact on the local Detroit scene. Having already played shows at the Hard Rock Café, Our single “Break These Ties” has been played on Detroit’s local radio stations 89x new rock alternative, As well as TapDetoit. Its at the Hard Rock Café were I first heard Soultone Cymbals live for the first time. After hearing these awesome sounding cymbals in person, I knew I had to become part of the Soultone family ..
