Quennton's parents were not fortunate enough to buy him a drum set therefore, his drumming began to develop while beating on buckets and tables. Quennton began watching Mr. Walker, who became his mentor, play jazz on the drums. Mr. Walker gave him his first drum set. From then on, Quennton was inspired to pursue his dream as a drummer.
By the age of 15, Quennton moved to Columbus, Ohio where he began to play in his uncle's band "Top Notch" as the back up drummer. At the age of 18, Quennton excelled in his craft and he became the full time drummer of "Top Notch". His love for music developed as he toured with "Top Notch" and little did he know; his passion for drumming was just beginning.
Today, Quennton has 16 years of experience working with many experts and influential people around the world in the music industry. He is a well rounded and diverse drummer whose playing styles originate from Go-Go to gospel, rap, fusion jazz, Neo-Soul, blues, pop, rock and even a little alternative. He has worked with some local and out of state groups like Greg Swan & The Late Crew, Jimmie McGhee band, New Legga-C, Quench and Frankie J & The Firm. Some of his favorite drummers that inspire him are Tony Royster, Chris Coleman, Rex Hardy Jr., and John Blackman.
Currently, Quennton contines to put God first in all he does and he strives to be the best. When he is not working, he is spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Tamika Hamlet, are the proud parents of two beautiful girls, Zee'Yana (13) and Zee'Naya, (10).
