(**I BLEED MUSIC**) My name is Porter Renfro V and I live in Albuquerque, NM! I am 25 years old, married with five children! My first son is no longer with us. My children's names are Montaya LeShawn, Rian Eugene, Marquise TaiSian, Portia L'Nai and Alanah Monai. (In loving memory of Rian Eugene!!!!). I was born in Houston, TX June 15, 1985. My first love Is Jesus because he loved me so much that he gave me the most unforgettable gift that I could have ever receive in eternal life with him! Then of course after him comes my beautiful wife Cynthia Diane Renfro. She is my heat, best friend, music partner and the mother of my beautiful children. Next would be my mama! That's right I am a mama’s boy and proud of it! She is the reason why I am who I am today! I am greatly thankful to God for the musical gifts that he has given me! At two years old my mom & dad discovered that I had an interest in drums and by the time I was five, I began playing for the Sunday service at Community Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. I played there under a dynamic organist by the name of Mr. Shoemaker, for two years before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1992. Three years later we found a Church home in New Life Baptist Church. The church had a dynamic band called “The Gospel Group Witness”. After a Sunday service I jumped up on the set to play around and the Band leader was shocked to hear this little ten year old boy playing. So he had the group play a couple of songs and I jammed out with them without any hesitation! The next Sunday we joined the church and I became the backup drummer for the band. Two years later the church opened up a choir where I became the head drummer for them. Years later I would become one of the music leaders of the church. Currently my wife is the choir director and I am the musician director and leader. Over all I have been a part of the church for 16 years now. I also have played in numerous events for different churches. Some of the drummers that have inspired me are Marvin Mcquitty, Teddy Campbell, Kevin Banks and Chris Gadson. When I am playing music I always do it for the glory of God! I am always reminded of one verse that keeps me humble in Galatians 2:20!
