Paul Chris
Musicians they say are born to play. Some never grace the grand stages of the world, and
spend years honing their craft in honky tonks and backwoods dives. For Paul Chris, it's the ability to
balance the two worlds that feeds his desires. For Paul, it's not the size of the stage that interests him,
it's the ability to be a true journeyman drummer, and work six and seven nights a week that brings a
smile to this life long Texan's face.
Paul Chris spent his formative years growing up around music. All of his mentors were full time
musicians, and from as early as he can remember, that was the only life he longed for. His musical
background stems from playing various styles of music such as, Country, Classic Rock, Cajun,
Zydeco, Polish, Czech & German, Funk, R&B, Blues.
Paul is currently is playing with national country music Legend Doug Stone (I'd Be Better Off In
A Pine Box, along with 8 No. 1's & 15 Top 5 on Billboard). And he also, now in his 35th year as
professional drummer, has many accolades and memories. His highlight reel includes working on the
road with such National acts as Doug Supernaw, Johnny Rodriquez, Jo-El Sonnier, Rick Trevino,

Although, while playing his current artist is Doug Stone. Paul keeps a very busy schedule by
working with other local & regional artist such as: Jody Booth, Donice Morace, Jason Allen, Josh
Ward, Randy Meadows, Jesse Raub Jr., David Glenn, Darwin Macon, Susan Hickman, & Freddie
Pate. He plays anywhere from 200-250 dates a year plus session work

Music Association of Texas.
Working with his longtime friend Doug Deforest, Paul realized early on the need for a mobile
protools studio in the Houston, Texas area where he calls home. Paul studied under Deforest and
learned, and soon became not only a sought after session drummer, but a first rate studio engineer.
Paul uses his skills to capture some of the Southwest's greatest groups, including Donnie Simmons &
the Houserockers, Houston's premier live Texas Classic Rock band.

and Rodeo; The Pasadena Rodeo Show in Pasadena, TX; The Texas State Fair and many many
more. Along besides the US, he has toured in the last 5- 10 years Japan, South America, France and

drummer or percussionist. Paul currently endorses & has endorsements with: 7drums Custom Drum
