Ozzie Garcia, aka "El Matador" is a latin percussionist currently playing with Los Quinceneros. Oz is a native of Southern California born to Peruvian parents and raised in Los Angeles. He began playing music at 8 yrs old, beginning with vocals then accordian, trumpet and latin percussion. He's worked with many diverse artists and collaborated on various styles of music, including rock, metal, ska, cumbia, salsa, etc. Throughout his career he has recorded numerous albums both in the US and Mexico and his releases have been played all over the world. Matador uses LP congas, LP bongos, LP timbales and proudly plays Soultone Cymbals exclusively.
