Nic Koven has been playing drums since he was a little kid. He is now 16 and is playing drums professionally for his band The 101 and other local artists. His strong points are in Rock, funk, and Hip-Hop/Rap. Nic has played with many gospel drummers and rock drummers so his style is very unique. He attends Oaks Christian High School where he is involved in jazz band, symphonic band, drum line, percussion ensemble, and worship band. Nic plays the drums for Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village every week in front of thousands. He also studies from some of the best drummers on the planet, Thomas Lang, Dave Elitch, Gregg Bissonette, and Victor Bisetti.

His band, The 101, is a up and coming, young Alternative Rock band. Frontman Shane Cronin, son of legendary Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon, brings his phenomenal voice to the highlight our sound. Tristan Beltrami plays guitar and makes the music and Adam Ferla lays in the cut and keeps the band in time with his groove. And lastly, Soultone Cymbals artist Nic Koven keeps the band moving in time from the drum kit and also writes lyrics for the band. Make sure to check out their videos and music!
