After graduating from DrumTech (Tech Music Schools) in 2007, Mehdi has performed live with artists as diverse as Jon B, Jocelyn Brown, Omar and Grammy award winning saxophonist Mike Phillips (Prince, Stevie Wonder) . He has played headline slots at many major UK festivals & venues including London’s Indigo 02, The Jazz Café and Ronnie Scotts presenting him with the opportunity to travel far and wide, to wonderful destinations such as Nigeria, Indonesia and Cuba to name a few.

Mehdi has enjoyed recording in all the major studios in London including EMI Studios, Dean street studios and Angel studio. He now runs his own private studio MUSIC MED STUDIO from his South East London base. Mehdi has also played and recorded drums and percussion for major for Clients that include Warner brothers, L’Oreal and Coca-Cola.

Aside from his regular sessions, gigs and teaching Mehdi is currently recording his own project with his band Nomad Collective, with their album "Soundscapes of a Bedoiun Rudeboy" Launching on 3rd June 2014 @ Cargo, with international gig dates to follow in Italy and Havana, Cuba (International Rhythm & Dance Festival 2015).
