My name is Manuel A Fernandez aka MJ-King-Perc and I am a Latin percussionist specializing in Merengue, Bachata and Salsa. I reach out to you to indicate my interest in being a brand ambassador for your company. To tell you a little about myself, I come from family with a long line of Dominican percussionists beginning from my great grandfather all the way to my father and now myself. My kin have been percussionists for greats like Ruben Blades, Cuco Valoy, Wilfrido Vargas, amongst many others. This legacy and professionalism was passed down to me at a very young age. This allowed me to become a professional percussionist from the tender age of ten years old with Cuco Valoy, a Dominican Republic legend.
Through the years I’ve a been part of many professional Latin groups that include Toby Love, Marcy Place, Don Omar, Tono Rosario, Elvis Crespo and currently Alajaza. I also had the honor of performing at the Latin Billboards with artists like Romeo Santos, Yandel, and Juan Magan. I also have my own recording studio where I record percussion for many different artists in the industry, as well as produce merengue and bachata records.
It is my opinion that our partnership will bring greater brand recognition in the Latin market and the urban tropical genre. I am part of the band of one the most influential Urban Merengue Artist in the Dominican Republic and travel to perform around the world to the places where urban music is consumed. It will be an honor to represent the Soul Tone brand and help increase your notoriety in the market. With this partnership I would also like to pitch my ideas as to what we as percussionists feel is needed in this ever-expanding market.
