Leo McLaughlin

Playing and performing since age 13 and semi-pro on drums since 2014, Leo is known throughout the Inland Northwest (Eastern Washington) region as one of the better pocket drummers out there, Leo McLaughlin's playing abilities range in style making him able to adapt to just about any genre. He’s a very well rounded musician with a near perfect internal metronome and a great ear. At this time (October 2024) he has over 500 live performances under his belt and over 250 hours logged in a recording studio.

In December 2020, Leo signed with Curtain Call Records (then based in Counce, TN) with his previous group, Bret Allen & The Northern Rebels, in which he co-founded with Bret Allen in October 2019. At that point, with songs already written, the band recorded a 5-song EP which was setup on Digital Distribution through The Orchard/Sony Music Entertainment, and was officially released world wide in March 2021 on all streaming platforms and was received with great praise from Promoters, Booking Agents, Online Radio Stations, Online Magazines, and Fans.

In July 2021, Bret Allen & The Northern Rebels set out on a "mini tour". On that "mini tour" they played 5 shows in 6 days, starting in Spokane, WA and ending in Muncie, IN (a total of 1921 miles, one way). Pulling triple duty, Leo not only played drums at every show, he also organized and maganed that tour. The end goal was to play Summer Bash Indiana at The Water Bowl in Muncie, IN. The tour was a success and on the way home, the guys conspired to put together another album and planned another tour for Spring/Summer 2022...unfortunately, tensions between Leo and Bret forced Leo to step down and head in a different direction. Within 6 months, the members of the group also went their seperate ways, with Bret exiting Spokane and moving to Missouri.

In June 2023, Bret Allen & The Northern Rebels regrouped for a reunion, starting as direct support for Texas Hippie Coalition August 18th-20th, 2023, in Washington and Idaho. This reunuion was supposed to be a revitalization of the group to write, record, and go on tour once again. Although the group fulfilled their obligation with Texas Hippie Coalition, the revitalization of the group never panned out and the guys in the group, once again, went their seperate ways.

After taking a long break from the music scene, in March 2024, a friend of Leo's suggested that he offer his drumming abilities [for hire] to bands and musicians worldwide. In September 2024, Leo was ready to hit the pavement and in November, he relaunched his official website!

EARLY HIGHLIGHTS: At just 4 years old, Leo picked up his first pair of drum sticks and started playing in bands at the age of 13. A couple of his past bands have won Battle Of The Bands competitions, opened up for several National Artists, and played for as many as 10000 people. Playing and performing since a young age, he has been in some of the most awesome venues across the Inland Northwest and beyond.
