Kim Diep Hac Nguyen

I started playing drum at the age of 10 for my father’s band ( he is a guitarist/bassist ). My Dad used to play every weekend back in Viet Nam. Whenever his band was on break, I would hop on the kit and jam along with the keyboard’s beats to provide karaoke for traditional Vietnamese music. I was lucky to be taught by other experience musicians at early age, therefore I was pretty familiar with music from different traditional styles. At 15, I started taking formal lessons at Hochiminh Music School for 3 years before I came to the US. During this time period, I played for several band in Viet Nam doing covers of US rock/alternative music. In 2009, I became a member of Multiplex band ( a well known modern metalcore band in my country ) for years. I think most of my playing style today was defined and developed when I was in Multiplex.
In 2015, I moved to the US with my family. I met Mr Duane Waider at his show in Fort Madison, IA. I got a chance to jam with Mr Waider’s band that day ( Citrus band ). I was lucky enough to know Mr Waider that night because without him, I would not be able to be a part of Soultone Cymbals Company.
I joined Section Hate in 2020 ( groove metal / modern metal ). I also became a member of Beyond The Heavens ( joined late 2020 )
