Bio- Music was in my blood from the beginning and God had a gift for me in playing drums from the beginning of my life.
Since before I can even remember (and my mom would say since birth) I have always been fascinated with the drums. For as long as I can remember I would use whatever I could get my hands on, and tap on anything I could to keep a beat. I remember growing up in church (about every night of the week) watching the drummer at the church and mimicking him from the seat. My mom and dad cleaned the church and on Saturdays while we were there I was sitting behind the drums with whatever songs mom and dad had playing I would try to play along with.
At around age 9 or 10 after many years of my parents putting up with whatever racket I made they decided they’d let me get a drum set. I sold my horse to my Uncle Dean and bought my first drum set!!! From there the fun began!!
I began practicing all the time just listening to any album I could get a hold of and playing to it. From there my parents saw my experience was getting better and I was asked to play with their Christian band called Solid Foundation and we traveled to local churches and to prisons and played for the inmates.
In November of 2004 my parents divorced and we stopped playing. It was very hard on me and for 4 years I struggled with getting behind a drum set. That was until a good friend of mine ,Jason Waggoner, asked me to join a band. We formed the Reflectors and started writing our own music and playing locally here in Northwest Arkansas.
We played for 2 1/2 years together and our band dismembered due to a couple members moving away from NWA. I started playing for my church full time in the summer of 2015. I currently play at my church, Living Hope Assembly, in the Praise Team. Also looking to do some independent playing and see where God takes me on this journey.
I have been drumming for many years and have played many brands of cymbals and drums over the years. Soultone has been to me the best sounding cymbals I have heard. They have a great tone and resonate amazingly. They truly fit me and my style of music and for that I am honored to be a part of their family.
I have prayed about partnering with a cymbal company for many years and God led me to Soultone. Cannot wait to see what transpires with my new family and so thankful that they have given me an opportunity to represent the best company in my opinion. Lior and Laura have been really helpful with the process of customization and the Soultone family has been such a blessing to work with.
