Junior Karegato is a Brazilian percussionist, drummer, composer, and music educator with more
than 20 years of professional experience dedicated to Brazilian music and percussion.
A graduate of the renowned Dr. Carlos de Campos Conservatory of Music (Conservatório de
Tatuí), he specialized in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) and Jazz, building a solid artistic career
through recordings, live performances, educational projects, and cultural initiatives.
A specialist in Brazilian rhythms, Junior has dedicated his career to the preservation, study, and
promotion of Brazil’s rich rhythmic and cultural heritage through percussion.
In addition to his work as a performer, he is the composer and creator of the original album “Ótica,”
available on major digital streaming platforms. His professional background also includes serving
as a percussion instructor with Projeto Guri, one of Latin America’s leading music education
programs.
Throughout his career, Junior Karegato has contributed to the promotion of Brazilian music through
performance, composition, music education, and the preservation of the country’s percussion
traditions.
