Elements of Kadence

Born and raised into a family of musicians, it was almost inevitable that I would develop a strong passion for music and performing. At a young age, my first exposure to music was from my dad and uncles who I watched play together. I got my first experience of playing the drums at the young age of 7 years old. However, that experience was short lived as my drum set was destroyed by my cousins a month later. Needless to say, my level of interest declined significantly thereafter. At the age of 14, my friends from high school and I started a band named Unauthorized Superheroes, where I was asked to play the bass, since my dad had played the bass for 15 years. However, as fate would have it, the original drummer moved to Chatsworth and I went on to replace him, putting me behind a drum set once again. The band disbanded before our high school graduation, with all members going on to join other bands.
I decided to take a different direction with my music and joined an alternative christian group called F.L.O.W (For Love of Worship). I was in this band for over a year until leaving to pursue a full time job at FedEx Ground. In keeping the family tradition, I started a band with my 3 brothers called 4saken. 4saken was together for a few years going through new members including a name change, now known as Elements of Kadence. With Elements of Kadence, I have had the privilege to perform at venues such as House of Blues, Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, The Whisky, Slide Bar, and competed in the finals for Battle of the Bands for Vans Warped Tour.
My musical and creative inspirations have developed from well known drummers such as Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Jose Pasillas (Incubus), Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine), and Abe Cunningham (Deftones). My passion for music does not only consist of being behind a drumset, I also have a love for Audio Engineering. As a decision to pursue a career in music, I completed the Audio Engineering program at Musician's Institute (MI) in Hollywood, Ca. I graduated from MI in the winter of 2013 and have since been recording and producing music for artist in my area. My commitment and dedication to the bands success has always driven my desire and willingness to grow professionally and creatively. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Soultone family and appreciate the love and support that they give to their artists.
