Jos Sleurink is a hard-hitting versatile left-handed rock drummer who lives in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. He was born on the 5th of July 1975 in a small town called Meppel.
Jos is now drummer in the band Dawn of Day

He always had a keen interest in music, so when a bunch of friends decided to form a band, ‚Floating Icarus’ was born.
This was at age 17.

Not being able to afford a teacher, he decided to just learn by listening and watching other drummers. Influenced by many great drummers from bands as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Breaking Benjamin, Alice in Chains, The Foo Fighters, and many others, he learned how to serve the song.

Now playing and writing songs with the female fronted rockband Dawn of Day on his Mapex Orion, Jos is a proud endorsee of Soultone cymbals!
