John Warden
I picked up Drums & Percussion in 1999. I started out learning the basic 40 rudiments on Snare drum alone, as well as basic scales on the Xylophone, Marimba and Vibraphone. I participated in middle school Concert, Symphonic and Jazz bands. When I reached high school I auditioned for my school's drumline and made the Tenor line. For the next 3 years I played Snare Drum, and became Drum Captain for my Junior and Senior Year. Within my 4 years at Piper High School I managed to perform at Drumline National Championships in 2002-2003, play at the Orange bowl's "Superbowl of Sound" 2004-2005, and make an independent indoor drumline based out of Miami, Fl called The South Florida Percussion Company in 2005. I got my first drum set in 7th grade and immediately started jamming with guitarists and bass players. Since then, I have played in numerous bands including; The Drudges, Chapter XI, Turok, Time Ends, Tigerstyle and One to Blame. At the current age of 22, I play in a band called Hivemind. We have a record coming out on Dead Truth Recordings in early 2010.
