John Smolinski

John E Rox is a Drummer who joined Soultone Cymbals in December 2022.

I am a Southsider from Chicago. Currently I reside in Maine. Music has been a passion for me ever since
I picked up a pair of sticks. When I was eight years old everyone in my family played instruments. It was
my grandmother that bought me my first drum set just to drive my parents nuts!
I would listen to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rush and Humble Pie just to name a few. I really took a
liking to playing drums. I have played in many bands in Florida, Chicago and Maine throughout my
musical career.
I am currently in two projects, 3 Day Funk and Acoustified (Original) here in Maine. I am always open to
new opportunities to play my drums and over the years developed interest in hard rock, blues, metal
and classic rock. I look forward to posting videos and pictures of me playing these great cymbals.
