Jason Dobbs
Leaving his childhood ranch in Sallisaw, Jason Dobbs decided to pursue his dreams of being a musician. He was ready to put his self-taught drumming skills to the test and hoping that all of his hard work and focus would pay off. Dobbs started his new journey with Casey Edwards, whom he grew up with in the area, and created a band that played at a few honky-tonk bars. He continued to follow his calling by moving to San Diego in 2003 and quickly formed a heavy metal band called Hard Echo. Leaving the country music scene behind and playing in California for 6 years was a childhood dream come true.
Dobbs was called back to Oklahoma in 2009 by Casey Edwards to play for the Turnpike Troubadours. After leaving the Troubadours he joined several bands including Controller, Diffuser, Bryce A. Dicus and the Mercenaries, and Jake Marlin and the Reckless. He currently performs and records simultaneously with Jake Marlin and the Reckless and Zac Wenzel.
Jason Dobbs’ high energy level, passion, performance and dedication makes him extremely entertaining to watch. You’ll never get the same show twice. He is immensely grateful for his time in heavy metal but has found a home within country music. Jason is very honored and proud to be a part of the Soultone family. It seems that all of his hard work and determination is finally paying off.
