My name is James Mooney and I have been playing drums since I was about 12 years old. My dad was a drummer and got me into drums.I have always been passionate about music and was always tapping on something. I am self taught and the first time I sat behind a drum set I new I was meant to be a drummer. I been in a few bands and contributed to some local projects. I currently play drums for a tribute band called Downsyde Up 90s Rewind. I been playing with them or just over two years now. I reached out to Soultone Cymbals and they have made me feel like a family and community of fellow drummers. Downsyde Up has opened for Grand Funk Railroad and 38. Special bands at the Thunder By The Bay Festival which was an amazing experience. The band is working on learning new music and is in the works on creating some original music as well.
