Eric Elkins was born 12/17/71 in the Cleveland Ohio suburb of Elyria.He began playing drums at the age of 3 from the influence of an older brother who also played. By his teens Eric was already making his mark on the local metal scene.Being influenced by drummers like John Bonham,Neil Peart,Vinny Paul, and Dave Lombardo, Eric forged his style. In 1995 Eric helped form the band Cryptkicker who went on to become one of Cleveland's biggest metal bands of the late 90's thru 2004. They also sold over 20,000 cd's just in the local market.

In 2005 Beyond Fear was formed featuring ex-Judas Priest vocalist Tim ripper Owens.The group released there successful self titled debut in 2006,opening for the Anthrax reunion tour (European leg). Also in 2006 Beyond Fear played multiple festivals as well as there own headling tours all across Europe. They continue to play select shows and fests.And in 2010 the group will be releasing its long awaited follw up.Eric also stays busy with neo-thraash-death metal project,Law of Destruction. They also will be releasing a debut record in the spring of 2010
