Dommie Kickdrum is a Gold Coast, Australia-based drummer with over 37
years of playing experience, known for his hard-hitting style, energetic stage
presence, and trademark bandana. Blending power, groove, and musicality,
Dommie has built a reputation as a dynamic visual performer who brings
intensity and passion to every show.
Throughout his career, Dommie has toured nationally and performed across a
wide range of original and cover projects. Previous bands featuring Dommie
have received radio and television airplay, while his current original band, Elba
Lane is signed to Near Enough Records. Elba Lane's music has also been
featured in numerous international surf films produced by Surf On Mars,
reaching audiences worldwide.
Dommie also performs with Australian rock trio Stone Rising, sharing the
stage with internationally touring acts while continuing to work across a variety
of live and recording projects.
As a proud Soultone Cymbals artist, Dommie relies on the warmth, projection,
and explosive character of the Explosion Series to complement his powerful
playing style. His setup features 14" hi-hats, a 10" splash, 18", 19", and 20"
crashes, an 18" china, and a 22" ride. Combined with TAMA drums and Hot
Sticks drumsticks, his rig delivers the power, feel, and reliability he demands
on every stage.
