My Name is Devontay Larry. I am a 31 year old Musician based outta Los Angeles, CA. I have been in the Music industry literally my whole life. My Mother was one of the Original members of the well known Gospel group The Kurt Carr singers. So Music runs deep down in my Soul. Picture Memories go back to to 10 months old holding pencils at a beginners drum set. I grew up listening to all Genres of music but Gospel was the go to. My home church Central Baptist Church in Carson, CA (Pastor David Biggs R.I.P) is where i honed in on my craft, looking up to the older drummers there. Around the age of 12 there were just too many drummers for one church service. So being able to play many instruments by ear i gravitated to the organ which was wide open to play. After 6 months of hard work and Practice i got to play a solo and received my first real $CHECK$!!! Though i never ever lost the love for drums Keyboard/Organ became my main instrument. Fast forward to high school (Carson high school) I was in the drumline and got that passion back and became DrumLine leader 11th grade. But still the call for a good keyboard player always came first. I got my first touring gig with one of my favorite bands The Letters Home 2017. Boy that was a fun experience!!! We traveled to about 15 states all across the U.S!!!! Drums will forever be my first love. And i have so many more things in store for the future. Including building a recording Academy for all ages and have many studios all over the United States. The future is bright!!! Music lives on forever in my Soul!!
