Davie Quinones
Davie “El Nene” Quinones Jr., born and raised in Brooklyn NY, discovered a passion for music as early as age 3. His love for music continued to grow while being a church musician. Playing in church gave him an opportunity to learn and develop his talents on drums and percussion. At the age of 13 he began to play timbales in his first band called La Nueva Cosecha. From there he started his professional career playing with The Neuyorican Salsa boys. During this time, he learned from amazing local and international musicians like Willie Villegas, Roberto Quintero, Julio Pantoja, and many others.
Davie has played with many well known artists such as Kevin Ceballo, Ricky Luis, Lalo Rodriguez, Hector Tricoche, Charlie Cruz, Tito Puente Jr., Van Lester, Frankie Negron, Frankie Ruiz Jr., Vito Ruiz, Edgar Joel, Andy Montañez, and many others.
Davie's inspiration for music comes from many
aspects; however above all, it truly comes from God.
