David Mason was born in Memphis TN. David Mason started his drumming career when he was 11, his first proffesional show was a the age of 19 with O’landa Draper & The Associates. One of his most memorable and meaningful shows was his first show he played with The legendary Robert Cray and The Robert Cray Band.
David has worked with artists including Don Bryant, The Bo-Keys, Kirk Whalum, Dee Bridgewater & Memphis Soulphony,Gerald Thompson, Eric Gales, Howard Hewett, The Jubu Smith Experience, Glenn Jones, 8 Ball & MJG, Glenn Jones, The Mary Jane Girls and The Robert Cray Band

David is incredibly versatile, he loves playing Country, Pop and Old School R&B but his skill allow him to play almost any style. When he was asked, why do you love paying drums? He said: “ I love the drums because they make people dance even if they are being played alone. A good drum beat always makes a crowd happy! He sure is making a lot of people happy!
