Danny Martinez

Inspired by a family of musicians, I began playing drums at the age of 11 and developed my craft as a self-taught musician. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of Conjunto/Tejano music, I proudly consider myself a Tex-Mex drummer, bringing those influences to every performance.
For more than four decades, I’ve had the privilege of performing with many respected and talented musicians throughout the Conjunto/Tejano music community. In 1997, I joined Joe Martinez y Sus Dream. Joe Martinez, best known as a founding member of the legendary The Hometown Boys, gave me an opportunity that helped shape the next chapter of my career and opened the door to many unforgettable performances and lasting musical friendships.
Today, I’m honored to continue sharing the music I love while staying true to my Conjunto/Tejano roots and grateful for every musician, every stage, and every audience that has been part of my journey.
