Carman Pascuzzo, “CJ”, started playing drums at the age of 12 by taking lessons from a local music store in his hometown of Greenville, SC. During his freshman year of high school, he attended the Fine Arts Center where he was first introduced to the basics of Latin and Jazz music. The following three years of high school at Mauldin High, he was involved in the band program which included Concert, Marching, and Jazz band. In marching band, he was center snare and captain of the drum line. He also participated in regional and county band events which he got accepted for through auditions. During his senior year, CJ helped teach another drum line at Greer High School. Throughout his high school years, CJ was involved in his church band which he played for every week. After he graduated high school, CJ helped instruct his previous high school’s award winning drum line. He has also had the privilege of marching snare at Furman University for one season. CJ currently lives just outside of Atlanta, GA where he attended Atlanta Institute of Music. While there, he worked on broadening his musical varieties and expanding his styles. CJ loves to play just about any style of music including Rock, Jazz, Latin, Blues and Funk and will be expanding styles throughout his musical career. Since Graduation at AIM CJ has joined the band Six To The Wheels and the Independent Record label Four Records owned by Kelly Monical and Grammy Nominated producer Russ T Cobb. CJ will continue his musical career in teaching drum lessons and in freelance work.
