Carlos Maria, born in Tijuana, Mexico started music since he was 12 years by studying guitar and playing in churchs choirs, later began his studies of drums with Gonzalo Farrugia (Uruguay), during one year in the Casa de la Cultura, subsequently was studying Percussion with Andrey Tchernyshev ( Russia) for one year with whom improved his technique and reading. Later he studied in the conservatory of the OBC ( Baja California Orchestra). He was attending in different shows and clinics of the drum in the area of Los Angeles and Europe.

Within his music collaboration you can find his participation with different musicians due to his great passion of the music.

Because of that he had opportunity to work with different musical offers started from Banda Sinaloense (mexican folk music) to Classical Music to name a few are the jazz band Mister Magic, the legendary jazz trumpet player Luis Gasca "The Little Giant" (Miles Davis), with Sasha Guerevich Quartet (klezmer music), Jazz Guitarrist Lupillo Cruz, Tico Valdez Big Band, Esteban Favela Quartet, Young Orchestra of Baja California, Fairbanks Chamber Orchestra of San Diego, International Philharmonia of the Californias, Opera Company of Tijuana, Bossa 4 Nova, Pianist Pablo Varela, Italian Rock Band Il Subito, German Project of Klauss Haussenberg (Elektroacoustic-enssemble), Opera of Tijuana Ensemble accompanying very famous artists of the level of Esther Gonzalez, Jose Medina and Encarnacion Vazquez (opera), Nek (pop), Paulina Rubio (pop), Franky (Kumbia Kings) Ceci Bastida (Julieta Venegas), Marcelo Radulovich, The Playground Slap, TJ Groove Station, Gabriel “Gabo” nuñez, Lucybell (chile) "Tour Sesion Primitiva" [2009] and working as session drummer for "El Rincon Studios" based in Tijuana, BC Mexico.

Carlos also currently performs as drummer for the bands “Cristina Crème”, “Madame Ur”, “La Ballena de Jonas” and pop singer “Asha”

Carlos currently endorses Soultone Cymbals, Luen Drumheads and Los Cabos Drumsticks.
