Brandon Williams

Brandon Williams, better known as BJ, has been drumming since he was 4. Born in Chicago, Illinois but raised in California, BJ's roots in music can be traced back to the church. He grew up listening to and playing gospel music in the Church Of God In Christ. He's not alone. HisFather, Gregory Williams, is an organist and lead musician for his church. Brother Byron is a gospel recording artist, accomplished keyboardist, and Pastor. And he has a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins that are all also accomplished musicians.

BJ is a family man. His wife, Alisia, is his #1 fan and supporter. As a father of 7, he cultivates music in his children. All 4 of his sons play drums from beginning to intermediate level. Oldest son Devon is a former snare drum player for Jamestown University in North Dakota. Music is a way of life in this house.

BJ is influenced by drumming legends such as CJ Rodgers, Eric Moore 2, Aaron Spears, Tony Royster Jr, Chris Coleman, fellow Soultone family member Jerohn Garnett and many more. He had the privilege back in 2010 to attend the NAMM convention and meet some of the names mentioned above.

BJ has played locally in the Palm Springs area for gospel singers as well as local pop/r&b artist Eevantre and the Show. He continues to play for the church but also has the versatility to play other genres.
