My name is Zac Button and I’m 22 years old Drummer from Adelaide, South Australia.

I began drumming in 2008 when I was in year 8 at high school and purchased myself a 2nd hand beginner kit to practice at home.
At the end of year 8 I was told “you should take up the flute because you don’t have the coordination to be a drummer” I persevered, taught myself a lot including how to play double kick, then took on private lessons.

In year 10 I was allowed to join a “Music in the Community” class, by year 11 I was allowed to study in the more main stream music classes and I continued that on to successfully complete year 12 music.

I am currently the drummer and one of the original members of Down With The Ship, an original Easycore/Pop Punk Band and we play regular gigs around Adelaide.
Down With The Ship have just finished our Debut EP, Late Nights and Stage Fights. More great news, the band has been signed by The Liberty Agency, hopefully bigger and better things to come!!

Our biggest shows so far have been a support gig for The Red Jump Suit Apparatus at the Adelaide Uni Bar in 2013 and in 2014 we were one of the supports for Jonny Craig at Fowlers Live in Adelaide. This coming October we're doing a support for touring French band, band, Chunk! No Captain Chunk!

As well as playing with my band I have also played many other styles including Rock, Pop, Metal, Funk, Reggae & Jazz at jam nights at a local Adelaide Pub where I also did the sound mixing for about 2 years.
