The name Kanon says it all. Kanon has been an explosive, fiery, ball of energy on the kit since he started playing at 8 years old. Growing up north of Detroit, Kanon was heavily influenced by hip hop and began his drumming days covering songs by the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, and Ludacris. Eventually finding his way to indie rock, Kanon began his first band with a couple high school friends that ended up becoming a trio called Retro Specs. Retro Specs ended up touring around the Midwest for a couple years til the band took a turn when Kanon moved out to the Pacific Northwest and left the band behind.
During his time in the PNW, Kanon found a local drummer friend who would exchange ideas with him and would also invite Kanon to his bands practice. Luckily for Kanon, that same drummer friend would be moving to another state and Kanon was asked to take his place. Making Kanon the official drummer for the melodic hardcore band Thirty Seven. Thirty Seven, a four piece band hailing from Spokane, WA., has been perfecting their art for years and has become a staple amongst their hometown. Kanon signed with Soultone shortly after joining the band and is excited to bring you all a new wave of melodic hardcore, grunge, and punk all blended into one.
