Hello my name is Jamie LaFave
Iam from Gladstone Michigan.
Iam 50 years old.
I have been a professional Metal Drummer for 38 years.
Iam a combination of self taught with some drum lessons as well.
I mainly play Metal and Progressive Metal.
I started playing at the age of 12
Elvis Presley and his TCB bands drummer Ronnie Tutt is what really possessed me in taking lessons.

It was then I learned about different genres of music. Styles
of drumming and immediately fell in love with Thrash, and all the subgenres of Heavy Metal.
After studying drumming for a fairly long time I then became a drum teacher of drumming and developed an arsenal of drum students which then led me into the direction of performing drum clinics around the Michigan, Wisconsin, and Chicago area.
I started getting a huge interest of joining a band and attending open jams very regularly.
Any way I could get to play and interact with other musicians I just jumped at the chance for it.

Through my years as a drummer I played with cover and original bands. I have made several recordings even including original gospel.
My heart always belonged to Metal though and I knew it for a very long time.
I have been involved with a lot of studio work, drum workshops, touring bands and it is every bit as exciting to me as it was 20 years ago.

I was profiled in several drum magazines through the years including DRUM! Magazine and even Modern Drummer!!!
I’ve been recording a lot and I’m looking forward to it being released and you all to be able to hear it.
I’m hoping to play some shows and go out on tour as well.
Music and drumming not only defines who Iam but it’s also my whole life.

Within the past 15 years or so I started really getting into drum gear and cymbals.
Which leads me to where Iam today!!
I love everything about Soultone cymbals.
The look, the sound, the feel, they are just incredible.
I will never play anything else.
Iam so honored and grateful to be a part of the Soultone Cymbal family.
