Franco Vandani is a young Argentine drummer who began his musical journey at a surprisingly early age. The son of local musician and producer Marcos Vandani, Franco grew up surrounded by instruments, sounds, and a passion for art. At the age of three, unexpectedly, he sat at a drum set for the first time and began to naturally keep rhythms, making it clear that this was not just a game for him: it was a calling. With the constant support of his family, especially his father, Franco honed his technique and explored his musical identity.
His first official performance was at the Music Series organized by the National University of Austral Patagonia (UNPA - UACO), an experience that marked the beginning of his presence on larger stages. Over the years, he participated in various events, standing out with his appearance at the Patagonia Drum Fest 2021, where he began to establish his name among the young talents of southern Argentina.
In 2025, at just 17 years old, he takes a new professional leap by offering drum clinics and performances, sharing his experience with colleagues and audiences, and signing his first contract with the prestigious brand Soultone Cymbals.
Franco cites among his influences great drummers such as Luke Holland, Travis Barker, and Chad Smith, and his musical taste is as broad as it is diverse: from English and Asian trap, through rock, metal, and nu metal, to electronic music and k-pop. This sonic breadth is reflected in his style, versatile and constantly evolving.
An anecdote that defines his artistic character occurred at the age of eight, when he decided to learn and record a Paramore song. With effort and discipline, he achieved it after a month of practice, clearly demonstrating his commitment to music.
Today, Franco Vandani represents a new generation of musicians: talented, dedicated, with an open-minded outlook on the world and firmly rooted in his family and cultural history. His journey is just beginning, and he promises to leave a mark on the local and regional music scene.
