Caryn Feder
Caryn Feder is an accomplished musician who loves to play and teach various instruments in many different performance situations. She currently teaches both in the public school system, as well as privately. She has released 7 original records spanning different genres and an 8th record of Christian rock covers, all of which are available on carynfeder.com/products.html . She has been a member of percussion ensembles, concert bands, wind ensembles, marching bands, drum corps, jazz ensembles, jazz combos, pep bands, choirs, pop/rock bands and orchestras, and has also given drum clinics in various music schools and stores across NY & NJ. She has drummed professionally for Off-Broadway, Playhouses and High School & College productions of Big River, Rocky Horror, Blood Brothers, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Godspell, Once Upon a Mattress, Curtains, Damn Yankees, Sunset Blvd, 1776, Suessical, & Hello Dolly.
Caryn holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey and a Masters Degree in Music Performance from Five Towns College. She has both studied and played with some of the best musicians in the world. She holds K-12 Music Teacher Certifications for NJ & NY, as well as a Teacher of Students With Disabilities Certification, an Elementary K-6 Certification, a Supervisor Certification, and a English K-12 Certification for NJ. She also holds a Ministerial Studies Diploma from NJ School of Ministry and a Music Industry Essentials Certificate from NYU Tisch. She proudly plays the Soultone Gospel Series Cymbals and regularly performs with the Union Municipal Band (has been in existence in NJ for over 100 years and gives concerts every month), the Jersey Shore Band (which performs for many parades all over NJ for various holidays), and at Agape Worship Center in NJ weekly during service. She has performed with such greats as Bernard Purdie, Rob Paparozzi, Don Randi, Steve Lucas, Rusty Paul, Richie Cole, Bill Stone and William “Spaceman” Patterson and has given drum clinics with Dom Famularo, Sam Ulano and Jason Gianni.
