It all started my fifth grade year in elementary school. I wanted to play the drums and they handed me a trumpet. I knew that was never going to happen. So I bought a snare drum and played throughout my junior high school years.
When I was in 10th grade, my grandparents purchased me my first drum kit , a 70’s Ludwig Vistalite, which I wish I still had.
I played with many metal and rock bands, teaching myself as I went. After high school, I joined a band that was very well known in the local scene. We had offers to play all over the East Coast, but I did not want to travel at that time.
I then started playing with a buddy, who was a bass and guitar player, creating music in a studio I designed in my home. I also played in a couple church bands, learning gospel music, which gave me a different look and feel from the rock and metal music I was used to playing.
After that, I joined a gospel blues band called JC and the Revival. We competed in a local blues festival and won first place giving us a chance to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Unfortunately, we were not able to attend the competition due to a band members health issues.
After that, I joined an 80s and 90s rock band while also doing some acoustic busking for a short time.

I was introduced to Soultone Cymbals through Facebook and applied for endorsement. I was absolutely thrilled and overwhelmed to find out I had been chosen and was going to be endorsed by Soultone Cymbals.
I have purchased many of their cymbals, and I can honestly say they are the best sounding cymbals I have ever played in my life!
Although I am not committed to a band at this point, I still continue to practice and play as often as I can with the best sounding cymbals I’ve ever used!
