Rich started drumming at age 11 and performed throughout middle school, high school, and college. He studied several styles, including Blues, Rock, Jazz, Calypso, Soul, and Latin. After being laid off from his day job in 2000, Rich went into music full-time. Over the past 17 years, he has performed at numerous nightclubs, festivals, and corporate functions in the Southern California area. He currently plays over 300 shows per year!

Rich has been in several original and cover projects and has served as a supporting act for many world- and national-touring acts, including Dave Mason, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Johnny Lang, Night Ranger, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to name a few.
