William Burton

"Hello everyone, my name is William and I've been playing drums for over 10 years. I first got into Metal when I discovered "Inside The Winter Storm" by Dragonforce when I was only 8 years old, and I've been on a never ending journey since, discovering all kinds of bands from many different styles. I try to listen to as many genres as I can, but the Progressive/Power metal niche are my favorite styles of Metal to play and listen to. Outside of Metal, I prefer to listen to Classical piano, Frederic Chopin being my favorite composer of all time. Currently, I am playing with the Melodic Groove/Metalcore outfit Ashes Reign, and you can expect our debut full length within the next year. Beyond that, I look forward to doing many covers of my favorite bands, hopefully expanding my musically, and playing and expressing myself to the fullest."

Question 1:
The problem I’ve had with other brands is typically lack of consistency. The 18’ sounds darker than 19’ despite being smaller, the chine isn’t powerful enough, the hi hats don’t cut. This set of cymbals not only sound amazing individually, but they complement one another and sound fantastic when you play them all on the kit.
Question 2:
My Explosion cymbals have the perfect balance of vibrant brightness and depth. These cymbals got rave reviews from my band mates and the engineer the first time I used them in the studio. They cut, yet they aren’t too bright or metallic sounding. Visually, they are the best cymbals I’ve ever seen on a kit. They’re stunningly shiny and the Soultone logo has such elegance that you can’t help but admire them. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the affordability. Despite being generously priced, they sound nothing less than a premium set of cymbals.
Question 3:
After years of trying many different lines of cymbals, I’ve finally found a brand that has the complete package. My first recording session with Ashes Reign was a homerun because of the fantastic sound I got from these cymbals, and I have many great things planned that will be elevated by Soultone’s amazing sound. All in all, I’m very grateful to be an endorsee for Soultone. I’ve been wanting to play them since I was 9 years old, and ever since I decided to reach out to the company one late night in a cabin in New Hampshire, the people from Soultone have been very accommodating and have answered all my questions regarding their brand with excellent detail and promptness.
