My name is Will Ludecke, I’m a 19 year old performing and recording drummer from Monrovia, California. I’ve been told that I became intrigued by music as my parents brought me along to my sister’s music lessons at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music at 2 weeks old. Later enrolling me there at about six months old. One thing led to another and I ended up falling in love with drums. I was further enrolled in guitar and drum lessons at Joe Ferrante Music Academy in Monrovia; continuing there until I discovered my current teacher and peer: Toby Semain. I’ve been studying music with Toby beginning 2014-present and have learned just about everything from him.
Come 2021, I was offered an opportunity to finally join my first band Jordi. I had put all my years of practicing and dreaming into reality as I unlocked this opportunity. It was this moment that made me realize I could achieve anything I believed in. Since then, I’ve become heavily involved with my love for drumming alongside my faith in God. I’ve had the chance to play with various artists, such as Emily TV, Yung King, Leo Foster, Jordi and more. I am also blessed to perform across California, playing venues such as the Lodge Room, Knitting Factory NoHo, Fox Theater Pomona, Garden Amphitheater, Rainbow Bar and Grill, and more! I was also given the chance to record drums for multiple YouTube performance videos alongside a Jordi EP with Dangerbird Records.
As 2022 hit, I began to grow in my faith and realized that God has given me all of these opportunities, including the ability to play drums: so I began to put Him over everything. In hand, I’ve achieved more than ever before, progressing in my playing as well as opportunities. Drumming has been my love for longer than I can even remember and I can’t wait to see what God will do through me as I progress in my faith and playing!
