Walter Parker was born and raised in Kansas City Ks, Dec 6, 1982 and got his musical start at his local church, Agape Outreach Christian Center, at the age of 10 years old. Walter credits his love for music from listening to artist such as Stevie Wonder, Ohio Players, Parliament Funkadelic and Roy Ayers, just to name a few. From there Walters’s passion and talent grew as he developed as a drummer playing in church. It was in church that Walter found his calling and since then Walter has played throughout Kansas and Missouri with various groups and churches. These days Walter is playing for gospel saxophonist Dr. Vernard Johnson and you will be able to see him on the Bobby Jones Gospel Hour on BET starting in January 2010. Walter ultimately gives thanks to God for all the many blessings that have been bestowed upon him and continues to work hard to improve his gift and to be an inspiration to musicians everywhere.
