Ulrich Scharsche

Uli was born on February 27th 1976 in Hannover (Germany). While Uli loved music and the drums, his musical career began when he was 8 years old by learning the snare drum in a Marching band. Uli continued to play the snare drum in the Marching band. Later he began teaching same aged kids in snare drumming. At the age of 14 he sat down on his first drum kit. Drums always came very natural to uli. During the early 90’s Uli began his first Funk band “Permanent Performance” with 3 of his friends from school. The band which was a mix of funk, rock and Blues played together until summer of 1996. In 1997 he started playing in a Top 40 Band, with thirty gigs a year for 3 years. After that he played as a session drummer with lots of musicians from his country. In 2003 he left Hannover to go to Bielefeld; here he played with regional bands: One O Five (Blues Rock), Jumboo Queen (Punk Rock, Rock’nRoll). 2007 uli started his own employment as drum teacher (My-Beat) and drummer for rent. Now, Uli is playing for his Band called Ca Va (70”Funk band), they made their first studio record 2011. The band plays some live shows this year too. Uli want to start touring with other acts, especially all over Europe. Uli’s favorite styles of playing music are Hip Hop, RnB, Soul, Pop and progressive Rock.

The drummers who influence him now are Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd, Jost Nickel, Gerald Heyward, Aaron Spears, Jojo Mayer and Tony Royster Jr.

Uli is very proud of being part of the Soultone family. Thanks for that
