In 2006, my father, his brother and myself went to a small store in Omaha, Nebraska called JD Drum Center. We walked into the store and the first thing I saw was a Pearl Vision four-piece drum set with chrome hardware and a clear birch finish. Later that evening, we went back and picked the drums up. Since then, it was game over.
I began teaching myself how to play. I played an endless amount of AC/DC and Led Zeppelin, and still do! But since then, my taste and style have matured. From AC/DC, Megadeth and Iron Maiden, to Snoop Dogg, B.B. King, and Fleetwood Mac, my modern-day self loves to play a wide variety of music.

My biggest influences on drums are the mighty Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden and the human metronome, Phil Rudd from AC/DC. Phil Rudd is a true innovator behind the kit, through and through, as is McBrain. Both of them use the kit to speak a language that is unknown to most.

I am very honored and proud to be a part of the Soultone family! It is something I’ve only ever dreamed of and it’s hard for me to wrap my head around this reality.
