Trae Wheeler

To God be the Glory for the things He has done. Fondly known as "Trae" I was born the oldest of two children to Charles & Chandra Wheeler on December 12, 1990. I am the big brother to Quentin Wheeler. As destiny would have it, I began following in my father's footsteps by beating on pots and pans at an early age.

Closely watching musicians and drummers from all around, I began training and developing the ability to play the drums and the piano. My early voyage into the music ministry began with the Togetherness Choir. Little did I know I was being prepared by God and recognizing the gift I had within before I even knew it, My aunt and uncle hired me as a drummer for local organizations.

Being quite a young man at that time I was reluctant to serve. Encouraged by my family who had and still have Faith and Trust in me which I didn't see, I humbly and willingly accepted the task which had been set before me. I later became the drummer for several churches in the area. My Love for Music and playing the drums has taken me on a journey, playing some of the top gospel musicians and singer in the Industry. It has afforded me the opportunity to play for Dorinda Clark-Cole, Smokie Norful and being able to open the stage with Tye Tribbett and Fred Hammond.

God has blessed me to play for Oprah Winfrey's 2009 Trip-of-a-Lifetime Cruise. I have played for The Family Affair Tour, The recording and release of Minister Gilbert Wilson and UICC "Live" CD, The Darthmouth College Choir Concert, The Stella Awards and On The Fly Band. I also will be playing at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards this month. I currently serve as the drummer for several local churches, La. Baptist State Convention, B.B. & O Choirs and Min.Gilbert Wilson and UICC Choir.

I truly Thank God for the experience(s) which has broadened my acquaintance in the entire Music World.
