Tony Pacheco

Tony Pacheco

Raised on Chicago’s Southside, in a family steeped in music. His father plays guitar in the local church choir and his brother and cousins are involved in musical projects in and around the Chicago area. Tony started playing drums at the age of 14 on a whim with some friends and was hooked soon after. He formed his first band at age of 16. Although it was short lived he knew this is what he wanted to do, he had found his calling.
Through the years, Tony performed in a variety of bands, in various genres: Punk, Metal, Alternative, and Latin. His grasp of the varying musical styles and rhythms allowed him the opportunity to do studio work and back many artists. Tony has collaborated and performed on stages in both the U.S. and Mexico with many International Latin artists like Christian Castro, shared the stage with Jaguares, El Tri, Fobia, Alejandra Guzman, Saul Hernandez and many others.
Currently, Tony is using his knowledge and wide musical spectrum to bring the beat to his latest outfits, Static Sound, a heavy hitting Rock Band. His latest brainchild feeds his need to continue to create and evolve as a musician. Tony and Static Sound are deeply involved in the studio, bearing fruit to sound that surely will have you asking for and needing more and Maximo Rango, a Spanish norteño band grown out of the need to push the boundaries into what has been a traditional Mexican musical style.
