Steven James Stotelmyre
I grew up in Oceanside, CA. Started playing the drums at age 13 and started performing shows
at age 16. Played different styles of music such as reggae, rock, hip-hop, jazz, and funk. I played
drums in local North County San Diego bands such as Irieisde, Noiz, the Mira Costa College
Frequency Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Leperkhanz, Bad Neighborz, LIE (Learning is Endless), and
Universal Philosophers. I am a solo artist that writes and records my own music. I am excited to
be part of the Soultone Cymbals family and looking forward in creating music with these unique
and impressive cymbals!
My influences are Dennis Chambers, Akira Jimbo, Jojo Mayer, Carter Beauford, Chad Smith, and
John Blackwell Jr.
